Do vertical blockout blinds make a room completely dark?
No. The fabric blocks light, but a thin line shows at each seam between louvres when they are closed. For a darker bedroom window, a blockout roller blind works better.

How should I measure the opening for these blinds?
For a recess fit, measure three widths and three drops; give us the smallest width and the longest drop. We deduct 10 mm from the width only (10 mm in total). Do not deduct anything yourself. For a face fix, add 100 mm on each side and 100 mm above and below. No deduction applies. Read the measuring guide before ordering.

What is a vertical blockout blind?
- A blind of 127mm blockout fabric louvres that hang from a track, made for sliding doors and wide windows.
- Turn the louvres to control light; draw them to one side to clear the doorway.
- A thin line of light shows at each seam when closed, as with all vertical blinds.

How do vertical blockout blinds work?
The louvres hang from a top track. Turn them to let light in or close them for privacy, and draw them to one side to walk through. They stack to the same side as the control unless you ask otherwise. The louvres hang free, with no linking chain unless you choose one.
