Does a blockout roller blind make a room pitch black?
No blind seals a window completely. The fabric blocks light, but a thin line can show at the edges. For the darkest room, fit it over the frame with 100mm overlap each side, or add room-darkening side guides.

What if I measure wrong?
Our team checks every order before it is made. If your blind arrives too big, we trim it free; too small, we remake it at a reduced price. Claim within 48 hours of delivery under the Custom Fit Guarantee.
How should I measure the opening for these blinds?
For a recess fit, measure three widths and three drops; give us the smallest width and the longest drop. We deduct 10 mm from the width only (10 mm in total). Do not deduct anything yourself. For a face fix, add 100 mm on each side and 100 mm above and below. No deduction applies. Read the measuring guide before ordering.

How do blockout roller blinds work?
A blockout fabric rolls onto an aluminium tube, and a steel chain lowers and raises it. The coating on the back blocks light and reflects heat. Fit it inside the frame, where we take 10mm off the width, or over the frame with 100mm overlap on each side, above and below. Over the frame gives the darkest room.

Want the edges darker? A roller blind leaves a thin line of light down each side. Room-darkening side guides are aluminium profiles that run down those edges and greatly reduce the gap.
